RA Investigative Committee of Ararat Regional Investigation Administration of Masis Investigation Department initiated a criminal case on stealing a large amount of money.
Pursuant to the information of the Investigative Committee on December 2, at 05:40 an alarm informing about the theft from the limited company office in Darakert village was received.
The investigation-operative group headed by the inspector immediately left for the scene. It turned out that on the same day at about 05:00, 2 masked and armed men entered the territory of the company, attacked the watchman of the LLC, with a threat of causing violence to his life and health stole a large amount of money from the iron safe of the LLC cashier’s office and escaped. The stolen sum of money amounts to 24.770.000 AMD.
A criminal case was initiated in Ararat Regional Investigation Administration of Masis Investigation Department under the provisions of Article 175, Part 3, Point 1 of RA Criminal Code (Banditry, in particularly large amount with the purpose of theft) and Article 235, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code (Illegal procurement or carrying of weapons).
Preliminary investigation is in process. Investigation and judiciary actions are held for finding out all circumstance, the identity and circle of apparent persons.
