Tender for the Position of the International Expert of “Multi-Faceted Anti-Corruption Promotion” Project.

Armenian Young Lawyers Association is an NGO with a mission to develop a new generation of highly professional lawyers, having a modern outlook and moral values, as well as to promote the establishment of rule of law, and formation of the legal culture in the society. The objectives of the Association are:

  • Increase public awareness and protect human rights, fundamental freedoms and legal interests.
  • Improve and develop the legal profession and norms of ethics.
  • Reduce the corruption risks in the activities of the governmental bodies providing public services including the law authorities; ensure transparency and accountability through empowerment of the citizens, implementation of participatory and public monitoring activities.

Since January 2014, the “Armenian Young Lawyers Association” NGO and the partner organization “Freedom of Information Center” NGO implement the “Multi-Faceted Anti-Corruption Promotion” project (hereinafter “Project”) funded by the European Union. The project aims to increase the role of the Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in promoting anti-corruption reforms and their implementation, as well as to establish an Anti-Corruption Coalition with CSO participation to strengthen the institutional anti-corruption mechanisms.

The Armenian Young Lawyers Association announces a tender for the position of the International Expert of “Multi-Faceted Anti-Corruption Promotion” project funded by the European Union.

Responsibilities:

Provide expert support on implementation of the activities planned under all 3 clusters of the project, specifically: introduce the international and EU anti-corruption practice during the anti-corruption trainings; introduce the practice of international anti-corruption coalitions, elaboration and improvement of the monitoring programs of coalition, elaboration of fundraising policies, review and evaluation of the CSOs’ and media organizations’ grant applications;; introduce the international practice on the establishment of independent ant-corruption body; and international and EU practices and models on criminalization of illicit enrichment, and carry out other expert activities.

Minimum Requirements:

A minimum of 3 years of international expert experience in the sphere of anti-corruption; experience of work in EU Structures in the sphere of anti-corruption; corresponding experience in carrying out research and analysis of anti-corruption laws and by-laws; experience and skills of compiling and submission of reports; ability to conduct ant-corruption trainings; proficiency in the English language; citizenship of an EU country. International expert work experience in anti-corruption sphere in the Republic of Armenia; average level of knowledge of Armenian and/or Russian languages be considered as an advantage.

The Client will sign a contract for services with the winner of the tender.
