The Court of General Jurisdiction of Kentron and Nork-Marash Administrative Districts examines the proceeding of Tigran Terteryan against “168 Hours” Ltd. and Marine Martirosyan to compensate 2000.000 AMD for calumny.

In the above mentioned newspaper an article was published where a resident of Echmiatsin, son of former headmaster of a school burnt the archive of documents. The applicant is the headmaster’s son Tigran Terteryan.

The application was refused by the court since the attorney of the Armenian Young Lawyers Association, Anahit Hakobyan proved that Marine Martirosyan heard the news from the inhabitants of Echmiatsin and cited the source in the article.
The decision entered into force on May 13.
