Last Year the Special Investigation Service initiated 216 Criminal Cases on Corruption

In 2015, the regional Departments of the RA Investigative Committee initiated 216 criminal cases on the corruption crimes that are subject to investigation by the RA Investigative Committee. 75 cases were investigated in the General Department of Military Investigations of the RA Investigative Committee.

216 criminal cases were initiated in the reporting year:

– 42 cases on abuse of official authority (Article 308 of the RA Criminal Code),

– 41 cases on abuse of power, transgression of authority or administrative dereliction (Article 375 of the RA Criminal Code),

– 26 cases on abuse of authority by the employees of commercial or other organizations (Article 214 of the RA Criminal Code),

– 26 cases on official forgery (Article 314 of the RA Criminal Code),

– 21 cases on Squandering or embezzlement with abuse of official position (under the requirements of Article 179, Part 2, Point 1 of the RA Criminal Code),

– 12 cases Squandering or embezzlement in a large amount with abuse of official position or by the organized group (under the requirements of Article 179, Part 3 of the RA Criminal Code),

– 9 cases on taking bribes (Article 311 of the RA Criminal Code),

– 7 cases on evasion from taxes, duties or other mandatory payments (Article 205 of the Ra Criminal Code), etc.

In 2015, 91 Criminal cases involving 187 persons on corruption crimes were sent to the court with the indictment: 41 cases on 103 persons were examined in the proceedings of General Department of Military Investigations of the RA Investigative Committee.
