The Prisoner Tried to Lighten the Punishment Regime by Bribe: the Case is at Court

50-year-old Grigor Gavalyan is at “Vardashen” penitentiary institution for committing a crime. He is again on the defendant’s chair this time for gripping a large amount of money dishonestly.

Pursuant the indictment he suggested Sargis Yesayan, a half close regime prisoner of the same institution, to give 1500 USD bribe to his familiar official to serve the punishment in a lighter and open regime. But he did not do a single step for it and managed the whole money.

For the attempt of a bribe Sargis Yesayan and his father are on the defendant’s chair. Sargis Yesayan agreed to give bribe and asked his father to give 200 thousand AMD, from their home, to Grigor Gavalyan.

The case is examined at the Court of General Jurisdiction of Arabkir and Kanaker-Zeytun administrative districts headed by judge Armen Khachatryan.

Notice: the person suspected in or accused of an alleged crime is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in the manner of prescribed by the RA Criminal Procedure Code in accordance with the Court’s verdict made it effective.
