Shortly before an incident took place during the sit-in protest action against the rise of electricity price. The Vehicle of “Sanitek” Company which conducts scavenging activities entered the Avenue to collect the garbage. The young demonstrators climbed on the vehicle and raised flags.
On the instruction of Valeri Osipyan, the Deputy Chief of Yerevan Police all went down. He even announced that next time he will prevent the car enter the area, so the protesters shall have to take off the garbage from the territory themselves
Later, in the interview with Iravaban.net, founding member of “No to Plunder!” initiative Maksim Sargsyan said the the problem was solved, but also mentioned that “Sanitek” Company had broke the agreement trying to carry out scavenging in the evening hour.
