Today, the Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan met with a group of employees of “Nairit” Plant and listened to their problems. The issues of paying the salaries of the employees, and the further operation of the plant were discussed. The Prime Minister informed that as a result of consultation with the RA President, a decision was made to raise by 15 July, financial means to cover the complete debt of the wages of “Nairit” employees accumulated during the years. The Head of the government mentioned that he had instructed Yervand Zakharyan, the RA Minister of Energy and Nature Resources to form a committee to review and adjust the payroll information and the complete sum of the debt of wages will be paid by 15 July 2015.
During the meeting the parties discussed the issues of re-opening of “Nairit” Plant as well. In reply to the recommendations of “Nairit” employees, the Prime Minister noted that the Government was interested in operation of “Nairit” Plant. “We are ready to discuss any reasonable, possible and realistic offer and if possible to assist in its implementation.”
