Hayk Kostanyan, Press Secretary of the Yerevan Municipality, presented details regarding the incident of beating the doctor of the Yerevan Municipality “Ambulance” CJSC.

“A.A., a 41-year-old resident of Ajapnyak administrative district of the capital, made 30 calls to the emergency number 1-03 since the beginning of the year.

This morning the ambulance was at the address listed in the summons. The patient requested the doctor to inject “Tramadol” medicine, the doctor urged to rely on his decision, noting that pain can be relieved with other medicine as well.

After that, the patient started to show aggressive behavior, uttering insulting expressions, stating that he should either be injected with the drug he wanted, or leave, so that he could be injected with the drug of his choice.

Curses were shouted at the doctor, after which 3 persons beat him.

Later, the doctor who sought medical help was diagnosed with concussion, bruised nose, and scratches on the face,” Kosatanyan said.
