Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan wrote on her Facebook page:

“Another incident of violence against an emergency doctor, who was performing his professional duty at that moment, took place in Yerevan.

The doctor is currently receiving medical treatment.

I strongly condemn the incident and expect a fair assessment.

Manifestations of force and violence against medical workers, as well as employees who ensure the safety of our patients in medical institutions, are a gross violation of law and order.

Our approach to these issues will be relentless and consistent.”
