The Central Electoral Commission has approved the Composition of the Yerevan Council of Elders

At the session of 28 September, the Central Electoral Commission summarized the resignation applications of the persons included in the proportional lists of the forces participating in the elections of the Yerevan Council of Elders. Only Vahagn Karapet Hayrapetyan, Margarit Vahan Khachatryan, and Ruzanna Grigor Yeremyan, candidates for the council member included in the electoral list of the “Civil Contract” Party, submitted a self-dismissal application. Since the submitted resignation applications were notarized, the latter did not participate in the session.

The Central Electoral Commission reported.

CEC President Vahagn Hovakimyan thanked the CEC staff, Yerevan CECs, PECs and all the employees involved in the electoral system in general for organizing free and transparent elections.

On 27 September, the deadline for appealing the results of the elections in a court expired, and none of the 14 forces participating in the elections submitted an appeal request to the Administrative Court.

Then the CEC approved the composition of the newly elected Council of Elders.
