It would have been a blow from behind to the Civil Contract if I left office immediately after the war. Hayk Marutyan, the mayoral candidate of the “National Progress” Party, mentioned during an interview with journalists after voting in the elections to Yerevan Council of Elders today.

“If I had left the post and the party during the war and announced it to everyone, it would have been a blow from behind. I told Suren Papikyan about my disagreements with Civil Contract only internally, that our paths cannot be with each other anymore, we have fundamental problems,” Hayk Marutyan said.
