It is the 8th Day that Helen Dadayan’s Remains are in Goris: Helen’s Uncle’s Open Letter to the Authorities of Artsakh

Helen Dadayan from Artsakh is one of the victims of the tragic car accident that killed 11 people on the Yerevan-Gyumri highway, near the village of Lanjik, on 14 August.  Helen Dadayan’s uncle  from, Mushegh Safaryan, sent an open letter to the authorities of Artsakh and the Armenian community.

“I, Helen Dadayan’s uncle Mushegh Safaryans, appeal to the Armenian people, Artsakh authorities, Arayik Harutunyan and Gurgen Nersisyan.

It is already the 8th day, that the remains of Helen Dadayan, a student of Eurasia University, a resident of Chartar, are in Goris. During these days many actions were carried out in Yerevan, Artsakh and the Red Cross, which not only fails to move the remains, but lies every day. It has become a participant and executor of these inhuman atrocities without feeling that it is is the only international organization to solve the created inhumane situation.

I call on the Red Cross and demand that immediately, no later than today or tomorrow, close and expel the branch of the Turkish Red Cross from Artsakh. That organization has not fulfilled and is not fulfilling its main mission according to the Geneva Convention; in fact, the Turkish Red Cross of Artsakh is clearly fulfilling the dictates of the authorities and security bodies of Azerbaijan. It is obvious that the Turkish Red Cross has not only failed and deviated from its main mission, but also clearly threatens the security of Artsakh.

To avoid further bloodshed, view my call as a crime report. I call on Artsakh National Security and the Prosecutor’s Office to fulfill their functions assigned by the Constitution and the law, to take appropriate steps to prevent the activities and crimes of the most dangerous subversive group in Azerbaijan,” the letter reads.
