Chairman of the “United Motherland” Party, Samvel Babayan, issued a statement saying:

“The most used word in Artsakh is “struggle”.

Various approaches to the struggle are proposed. I suggest getting out of slogan politics, giving up the imitation of struggle and moving to the practical field.

As the leader of the second parliamentary force, I specifically propose the following practical and legal steps:

Stepanakert-Baku dialogue to create an atmosphere of mutual trust,

Apply to the UN to provide an internationally guaranteed peacekeeping mandate in Artsakh.

To apply to the UN to review the membership of Azerbaijan in the territory by which it was admitted to the UN.

To appeal to the Russian Federation, as the successor of the USSR, to solve the situation created around Artsakh.”
