An investigation regarding Karen Andreasyan, the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, is underway in the National Security Service.

In response to written inquiry of Iravaban.net request, the NSS answered:

“On the basis of the letter received from the Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia, the NSS is currently checking the information in the articles published on the news websites about Karen Andreasyan, the President of the Supreme Judicial Council of the Republic of Armenia.”

Let’s add that a few days ago, the news sites published that criminal proceedings were initiated against Karen Andreasyan in the NSS, in connection with the case of abuse of official authority.

Note: A person that is suspected or accused of an alleged crime is considered innocent until his/her guilt is proved by a court judgment that has come into legal effect pursuant to the procedure determined by RA Criminal Procedure Code.
