Request to confiscate Vahe Nikoyan’s property of illicit origin has been submitted:  Prosecutor General’s Office

The Anti-Corruption Court accepted the 28th lawsuit regarding confiscation of property of illicit origin.

The Department for Confiscation of Property of Illicit Origin of the RA General Prosecutor’s Office has submitted a request to the Court to confiscate in favor of the Republic of Armenia from the former Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Vahe Nikoyan and his related person the following illicit property:

  • Three immovable properties in the city of Yerevan, and in case of impossibility, their average market values, which total more than 309 million 750 thousand AMD, one movable property, payments received from the rental of immovable property until the actual execution of the judgment of the case.
  • 19 million 786 thousand 303 AMD as the balance of illicit income and funds,
  • 8 million 258 thousand 347 AMD, which during the period 2013-2022 is not justified by the legal income of the person, has an illicit origin, was transferred to a bona fide acquirer or cannot be identified and confiscated, based on the regulation of part 4 of Article 20 of the RA Law on Confiscation of Illegally Originated Property.
