The Azerbaijani media once again confirmed the fact of the blockade of Artsakh.

The Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Artsakh reported.

On 09.01.2023, the media serving the information and propaganda interests of Azerbaijan published information about the fact ( https://ru.oxu.az/politics/681869, https://media.az/…/blokada-karabaha-po-armyanski-sotni…/), that during the 27 days of blocking the Stepanakert-Goris highway, 370 different types of vehicles had moved in both directions, of which 330 were by Russian peacekeepers, 31 by the International Committee of the Red Cross (including emergency vehicles), and 3 emergency vehicles “by the residents of Artsakh”. The author of the article claimed and thus tried to show that Artsakh is not actually under siege, although the given data clearly showed the opposite.

In order to document the nakedness of the Azerbaijani thesis, it is enough to reveal only three statistical data: before blocking the Stepanakert-Goris highway, the only one connecting Artsakh with Armenia, in 2022. According to the indicators of November, 380-400 tons of food and other goods intended for public needs were delivered from Armenia to Artsakh per day (10,260-10,800 tons in 27 days), an average of 454 cars left Armenia for Artsakh in one direction through the “Lachin Corridor” ( in 27 days: 12,258), more than 1,200 people (in 27 days: 32,400). It is noteworthy that the mentioned indicators are small compared not only to the period before the 44-day war in 2020, but also to the demand necessary to ensure the average level of well-being of the population of 120,000.

With the aforementioned publicationm the Azerbaijani media also confirmed that for 27 days the residents of the Republic of Artsakh were deprived of the opportunity to move through the corridor and communicate with the Republic of Armenia, only Russian peacekeepers and representatives of the ICRC traveled through the corridor.

Thus, the above-mentioned statistical data and arguments quite eloquently and graphically reflect the entire reality that currently prevails in Artsakh and which Azerbaijan spares no effort to hide from the international community.
