On the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia, the Chairman of the Board of Yerkrapah Volunteer Union, Sasun Mikayelyan, sent a message, in which reads:
“Dear compatriots, Armenian people around the world,
I congratulate everyone on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia.
Showing high progress in various fields, the Armenian man has always distinguished with his fighting type.
Even today, that struggling Armenian is standing next to our state, using all his strength, defends our country at the cost of his life. We are fighting for our state built at the cost of lives, independence built by us, strengthening of statehood, strengthening of our army.
Sparapet Vazgen Sargsyan used to say, “A person who lives in every corner of the world and considers himself Armenian should breathe in the interests of this country and this statehood and know how to be useful to it.”
Today, the Armenian people, volunteers, and soldiers are fighting on the borders, in the trenches. We, the patriots, fulfill our sacred mission every day, serving our motherland with unwavering devotion. The land guard stands firmly next to our army – the soldier. I would like to proudly mention that the “Patani (Young) Yerprapahs” of the Yerkrapah Volunteer Union are the powerful, fighting soldiers, commanders, and generals of our tomorrow. The students of “Patani Erkapah” club consciously and responsibly walk on our own path.
Glory to the Yerkrapah Volunteer volunteers, our army, soldiers, freedom fighters, young Yerkrapahs.
Eternal glory to the martyred Armenians for the sake of the Motherland.

Dear compatriots,
We are obliged to stand by our state, statehood and army with national unity.
We are obliged to devote every day to the work aimed at strengthening our Motherland. We all have to be the best in our work and serve for the sake of the Motherland.
