Nikol Pashinyan and Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a telephone conversation with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

The interlocutors referred to the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. Nikol Pashinyan emphasized that although the border is currently relatively calm, the situation remains very tense as a result of Azerbaijan’s aggression against the sovereign territory of Armenia.

The Prime Minister of RA and the President of the Russian Federation discussed issues related to the implementation of the decisions made regarding RA’s application to the Collective Security Treaty Organization.

Let’s remind that on 13 September, from 00:05, the units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces started to fire intensively from artillery means, large-caliber firearms in the direction of Goris, Sotk and Jermuk in the direction of the Armenian positions. During the whole day, they tried to ensure positional advancement, particularly in the direction of Nerkin Hand, Verin Shorzha, Artanish and Sotk. On 14 September, the enemy resumed pre-offensive operations, particularly in the directions of Jermuk and Verin Shorzha, using attack UAVs as well.

Data on the losses of the Armenian side are being verified. The number of victims of the Armenian side is 105 as of 16 September. 4 out of 6 injured civilians continue to receive treatment in hospitals.
