Pashinyan canceled his participation in the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization

Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan will not participate in the upcoming summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Samarkand due to the current situation.

The Information and Public Relations Department of the RA Prime Minister’s Office reported to “Armenpress”.

Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced that the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev confirmed their intention to participate in the SCO summit in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, scheduled on September 15-16.

On the night of 13-14 September, the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border continued to be tense. In particular, the enemy used attack drones in the direction of Jermuk. The armed forces of Azerbaijan are targeting positions located in the direction of Jermuk and Verin Shorzha, as well as border settlements.

Let’s remind that on 14 September, RA Ministry of Defense Press Secretary Aram Torosyan reported that as of 15:00 the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border has become extremely tense again. Starting at 13:00, along the entire border from Sotk to Goris, the enemy resumed intensive rocket artillery attacks, targeting civilian settlements, and widely using attack drones. It should be noted that the vehicles of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation carrying out a humanitarian mission in the combat zone were also attacked.

On 14 September, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced in the National Assembly that as of 14 September, 105 servicemen of the Armenian side were killed as a result of Azerbaijan’s attack.
