The Administration of Askeran region has issued a statement, which states:

“Dear compatriots,

As we have stated, these days in a number of villages near the line of contact, our armed forces, together with the Russian peacekeeping troops stationed in Artsakh, are carrying out additional measures to ensure the full security of the local civilian population.

These measures do not mean concessions and evacuation of settlements, on the contrary, they are aimed at increasing the level of security in those settlements.

We urge to refrain from baseless allegations and speculations in order not to provoke panic in the public,” the statement reads.
