The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that there are closed, difficult-to-pass roads in the territory of the Republic of Armenia.
In Aragatsotn Marz, the roads leading from “Amberd” high mountain meteorological station to Amberd fortress and Lake Kari are closed.
Vardenyats mountain pass (snow, snowstorm) is closed for trucks with trailers, difficult to pass for other vehicles.
When using tire-chains, the section called Saravan – “Bells” (snow) is difficult-to-pass for trucks with trailers, open to other vehicles.
It is snowing in the section called “Meghri Mountain” of Syunik Marz, and the cities of Kajaran and Kapan.
The roads of Syunik Marz are icy in places, the Goris-Kapan highway is foggy.

Drivers are advised to drive exclusively with winter tires.
