On 21 January the RA NA Vice President Ruben Rubinyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the RA Sergey Kopirkin.

The National Assembly reported.

The parties highly assessed the Armenian-Russian allied relations and highlighted their continuous development.

They also touched upon the normalization of relations between Armenia and Turkey. As Armenia’s Special Envoy for the Armenia-Turkey Dialogue, Ruben Rubinyan thanked the Russian side for its readiness to host and settle the meeting between him and the Turkish Special Envoy in Moscow a few days ago.

The NA Vice President assessed the first meeting of the special encoys as constructive, noting that the Armenian side was interested in solving clear problems through a substantive process.

The Ambassador, in his turn, assured that the Russian side will continue its efforts to normalize Armenian – Turkish relations.
