On 10 January, RA Minister of Defense, Secretary of the CSTO Council of Defense Ministers Suren Papikyan had a telephone conversation with the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Army General Sergei Shoigu.

During the telephone conversation, the situation in the Republic of Kazakhstan, issues related to the implementation of the decisions of the CSTO Collective Security Council, the Council of Defense Ministers, the activities of the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces, and views on the measures taken were discussed.
