“The epidemic situation is quite tense, not only in Armenia but all over the world. Analyzes of data from the last 14 days show that we have an increase of about 50% compared to the previous 14 days. The reproductive rate of the infection is higher than 1, which indicates that the infection is spreading very fast, Romella Abovyan, Head of the Department of Epidemiology of Infectious and Non-infectious Diseases of the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention said today, on 13 October, at a press conference.

She noted that 1.5-1.7 times an increase in cases was registered in all age groups of children and adolescents.

“According to EU standards, we are already approaching the dark red zone, that is, we are approaching the dark red zone from the red zone. The morbidity rate is 475, if the positive share of 500 tests reaches, if it is 12%, we will be in the dark red zone,” Romella Abovyan said.
