On 24 September, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Arshak Karapetyan received Mr. Thierry Ribo, Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Delegation to Armenia.
Congratulating Arshak Karapetyan on assuming the responsible position, Thierry Ribo praised the effective cooperation between the two institutions, expressing hope that in the future the jointly implemented programs will achieve an even higher quality level.
During the meeting, the parties stressed the need for the immediate repatriation of those captured as a result of the 44-day war in 2020; issues related to the fate of the missing were discussed as well.
The parties expressed readiness to continue the implementation of awareness-raising measures on international humanitarian law in the RA Armed Forces and training programs in that field.
