Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan reports.

“In 2020, the Human Rights Defender’s Office submitted 192 opinions on draft legal acts.

The Human Rights Defender continues to contribute to the improvement of the legislative field in Armenia, within the scope of competence: both by drafting legislation and by providing professional opinion.
Statistics also show a significant increase in the number of draft legal acts submitted to the Defender for opinion.

Thus, in 2016, about 90 draft legal acts were submitted to the Defender for legal opinion, in 2017 – 144, in 2018 – 185, in 2019 – 241, and in 2020 – 192.”
