The Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan issued a statement stating, “The fight against corruption is yielding results. Armenia is a country that has made significant progress in corruption perception index.
Dear compatriots!
The results of the Transparency International Corruption Perceptions Index (CPC) for 2020 have been published.
Armenia continues to grow significantly, improving by 7 points this year.
Thus, having 49 points, Armenia ranked 60th (77th in 2019, 105th in 2018).
TI notes that with 49 points, Armenia is a country that has made significant progress in the Corruption Perceptions Index, which has improved its results by 15 points since 2012.
Armenia has adopted a gradual approach to reform, leading to sustainable, positive anti-corruption reforms.
At the same time, according to TI, the existing problems in the judicial system are still a challenge for the full success of the fight against corruption.
Let me remind that the results of the CEC are used in the sense that it assesses the citizens’ perception of the steps taken by the state.
I am sure that the anti-corruption, consistent and real reforms, the reforms of the judicial system will contribute to the strengthening of our armed forces.
Congratulations on the Armenian Army Day …
Glory and honor to our defenders of the homeland…
I pay tribute to the memory of the Armenians who dedicated their lives to our homeland.”
