The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia has issued a statement, which reads:

“Taking into account the numerous applications of the servicemen’s parents and family members in connection with giving the participants of the combat activities an opportunity to rest, the RA Ministry of Defense clarifies:

Despite the ceasefire established within the framework of the trilateral statement, the units of the Armed Forces, with all their personnel, continue to fulfill their tasks. There are no more ongoing military operations, which allow to organize the rest of the personnel in the permanent locations of the military units, and to carry out the treatment of the servicemen with health problems according to the appropriate procedure.

The Ministry of Defense unconditionally appreciates the self-sacrifice and heroic struggle of the Armenian army fighters throughout the war; realizes the importance of the issue raised. We assure that after the full stabilization of the situation, everything will be done to provide leave to the servicemen who took part in the hostilities.

It should be added that at present active work is underway to implement the steps envisaged by the provisions of the tripartite statement, assuming territorial solutions, to change the permanent locations of a number of military units, to create the necessary infrastructure in a new place, including staff accommodation. The works will be carried out in the shortest possible time.”
