Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s spokesperson Mane Gorgyan published an excerpt from the Prime Minister’s interview with France 24, which reads:

“Prime Minister – Serious talks on a peaceful settlement will be possible when the terrorists and Turkey leave the region with their goals. Civilization cannot but win, the will to live, people with the right to live cannot but win. There is no doubt that the Armenian people, who have lived on the planet Earth for several millennia, have the will to live.

Journalist: Maybe you would like to say something to the people of Azerbaijan, who also have the will to live.

Prime Minister: I can only say one thing to the people of Azerbaijan. Ask yourself how well you know the truth about your own people, your own government, their wealth, and their financial dealings and goals. I think that the people of Azerbaijan are hostages in the hands of a dictatorial government. Armenians have always been a convenient enemy for Aliyev’s dictatorial rule, in which he seeks to circumvent democracy, freedom, human rights and freedom of speech.”
