Spokeswoman for the RA Ministry of Defense Shushan Stepanyan informs:

“On 21 July, at around 10:30 pm, after an unsuccessful attack by an Azerbaijani special forces unit on the “Fearless” position in the north-eastern part of the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border, an additional intelligence operation is underway.”

She noted that on the night of July 21-22, relative calm was maintained on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

“The enemy violated the ceasefire 7 times with firearms in some parts of the border, firing about 20 shots at the Armenian positions.

Combat positions located in the direction of Chapn, once.

Combat positions located in the direction of Paruyr Sevak, Yeraskh and Zangakatun, 3 times in total,” the spokeswoman said.
