Governor of Lori Andrey Ghukasyan posted a post on his Facebook page saying:

“Dear Lori residents,

To date, there are two more cases of coronavirus infection in Lori.

Thus, the total number of cases in our region reached 5. The range of contacts with infected people is clear, everyone is isolated.

This once again gives us a reason to call for sobriety.

Despite the stricter restrictions set by Commandant’s directive and our day-to-day control, many citizens simply do not want to understand the seriousness of the moment and each in turn is convinced that the infection will never reach him or any member of his family. As law-abiding citizens, we must carry out all the instructions accurately. Unfortunately, that’s not the case. Especially today, in the regional center of Vanadzor, I witnessed many groups of people, which I find absolutely unacceptable.

I repeat, everything is being done only to ensure the security of all of us.

The situation in our region is controlled by the co-operation of various agencies and again I ask and urge to follow the instructions of the Commandant and leave home only when you are in dire need.

Don’t risk the health and life of you and your loved ones.”
