Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has issued a statement saying:

Dear Compatriots,

On March 17, a 49-year-old patient diagnosed with coronavirus was referred to Nork Infection Hospital from Armenia Medical Center with pulmonary edema, bilateral pneumonia, and respiratory failure.

Test was performed and the result was negative, that is, the presence of coronavirus in the patient’s body was denied.

At the same time, all cardiopulmonary resuscitation measures were carried out, additional brigades were involved, but unfortunately, the life of citizen was not saved.

Taking into account the current situation with coronavirus, I consider it necessary to especially state that the death of the citizen has nothing to do with coronavirus.”
