Advisory Board of the Civil Aviation Committee to the Airlines Registered in the Republic of Armenia on Air Flights to Iraq and Iran

As we have informed, the Civil Aviation Committee continues to monitor developments in the Middle East, including new circumstances surrounding the tragic crash of the Boeing-737 aircraft of Ukrainian International Airlines, which crashed in Tehran on 8 January this year.

The Civil Aviation Committee works closely with the aviation authorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran, International Civil Aviation Organizations, the European Union’s Flight Safety Risk Assessment Team and all of its partners to ensure safe flight.

Given the current situation, the Civil Aviation Committee recommends that airlines registered in the Republic of Armenia take into account the recommendation of the European Union’s Flight Safety Risk Assessment Board and consider the possibility of temporarily bypassing the airspace of Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran at all altitudes.

In case of more information it will be provided to the registered airlines and the public of the RA.
