Today, President Armen Sargsyan received Executive Director of “Hayastan” All-Armenian Fund Ara Vardanyan, who presented his resignation letter due to accusation on the abuse of his official position.

President Armen Sargsyan, as the Chairman of Fund’s Board of Trustees, has taken into account Ara Vardanyan’s resignation.

According to the established procedure, the application will be sent to the members of the Board of Trustees for approval, after which a special commission will be established, which will elect the new Executive Director of the Fund.

In connection with the situation around the “Hayastan” All-Armenian Fund, the President of the Republic believes that since the birth of the Third Republic, the Fund has implemented important and useful programs, bringing together national and spiritual structures, benefactors and hundreds of thousands of individuals. Therefore, the Foundation has yet to carry out a mission in the life of Armenia, Artsakh and Diaspora.

However, it is also clear that the Fund needs new organizational and conceptual approaches that will significantly increase its effectiveness, confidence and weight.

And it is not in vain that the President of the Republic of Armenia during the May 25 sitting of the Fund’s Board of Trustees provided three months to present proposals on Fundamental Reforms of the Fund.

Thus, President Armen Sargsyan hopes that the “Hayastan” All-Armenian Fund will overcome this challenge and will come out of it with renewed, worthy New Armenia’s aspirations and challenges.
