The SJC will offer the President to appoint Levon Grigoryan as the Chairman of the Civil Court of Appeal.

It should be reminded that by the decision of the Supreme Judicial Council, on 13 September, the powers of the Chairman of the Civil Court of Appeal Nora Karapetyan as the Chairman of the Civil Court of Appeal were considered terminated. She had submitted her resignation.

“On 16 September, 2021, in a closed session, discussing the issue of proposing a candidate for the vacancy of the position of Chairman of the Civil Court of Appeal, guided by Article 175, Part 1, Clause 3 of the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, Article  94 Part 1, Articles  130, 121 and 117 of the Constitutional Law the Judicial Code of the Republic of Armenia, the Supreme Judicial Council

DECIDES

1. To propose to the President of the Republic the candidacy of Levon Vagharshak Grigoryan for the vacant position of the Chairman of the Civil Court of Appeal.
2. The decision shall enter into force on the day following its publication,” the decision states.
