The government has approved 24 assistance programs to neutralize the economic effects of coronavirus.

As of 27 August, the Human Rights Defender received 849 complaints about these programs. The ombudsman’s office reports on the main issue of the complaints.

According to Ani Amirshadyan, head of the Social Security Service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, the problem was due to the fact that the Civil Registry Agency did not have digitized versions of children’s data.

At the moment, there are about 500 children beneficiaries of the 9th program, whose data have not yet been registered by the Civil Registry Offices, who have not yet received the available assistance. The head of the social service says that they do not have the opportunity to speed up the process, but she will not leave any application unanswered.
