Nikol Pashinyan on his and the Official’s Mandatory Military Service
At the special session of the National Assembly, MP candidate Nikol Pashinyan is answering questions. In response to RPA member Jemma Baghdasaryan’s question whether all officials were required to pass the compulsory military service independent from circumstances, Nikol Pashinyan replied:
“My son is 18 years old and he will leave for military service during summer recruitment. We should not evaluate any situation independently, otherwise we will have unreliable assessments, as we do not take into account the cause-and-effect relationships.
I have served throughout my whole life. And, as I said, in 2016, our party had formed a volunteer squad that had been carrying out a military service. At that time I was a deputy of the National Assembly, and it did not hinder me to take sub-machine gun, dig a trench and stand in the defense of the homeland.”
