Today, the Court of General Jurisdiction of Kentron and Nork Marash Administrative District continued the case on of 9 defendants accused in armed attacks of the gang, embezzlement and murder. Two of the accused, the Edita and Tigran were not in the court room as a sanction of removing them from the court room for 10 hours had been applied.
Notably, during the trial one of the defendants, Mnatsakan Sargsyan said that the investigator had falsified his testimony, and that some parts of the testimony were added by the investigator. He also said that in the preliminary investigation phase, when he was being tried his hand was plastered and he was not able to write. He had signed under 3-4 empty blanks and then the investigator printed then testimony.
When the court presided by judge Arshak Vardanyan asked to show the testimony of the case and the handwriting notes there, Mnatsakan looked at them and said that it was not his handwriting, “Signature is mine, but the text written here is not my handwriting.”
