It is for about 25 years we hear about the Anti-Corruption “Fight;” says the Lawyer about the Activity of the Government

“It is only a veil to show that there is Anti-Corruption fight,” advocate Yervand Varosyan said speaking about the Government created Council.

“The state has both levers and bodies to fight against Corruption and there is no need for creating an additional body,” said the advocate adding that the bodies like Anti-Corruption Council are being created for one aim-to assemble sessions and to ensure their coverage.”

Yervand Varosyan did not consider it strange that two NGOs will participate in the session of the Council: “All this fits in the logical framework of the creation of Council. Of course there will be reports, discussions, and speeches on certain achievements; also speeches that there are still problems which need solution. I mean speeches, reports that we have been listening to for around 25 years.”

This means that it has formal nature, which is intended for international organizations and for the public sector: “The reason is that there are some international organizations that understand everything very well, and they will not be confused with such bodies, and at the same time there are sectors in the public that maybe will believe in that fight,” said our interlocutor.
