The preliminary investigation of the case initiated in the Kotayk Marz Department of the RA Investigative Committee concerning the large amount embezzlement from the budget of “Pokr Mher” Educational Complex SNCO was accomplished.
According to the results of the preliminary investigation it was found out that a large amount of money was transferred from the RA state budget to “Pokr Mher” Educational Complex SNCO for providing the 165 pupils with food. It was also revealed that 22.643.000 AMD was embezzled from the initially arranged money.
Based on the combination of the obtained evidences, E. Mikayelyan, the director of the SNCO was charged according to Point 1 of Part 3 of Article 179 of the RA Criminal Code. Sh. Papikyan, the Chief Accountant of the educational complex was charged according to Points 1 and 3 of Part 2 of Article 179 of the RA Criminal Code.
The preliminary investigation of the case is accomplished. The criminal case along with accusations is sent to the court. The preliminary investigation in a separate procedure is still in process.
Note: The suspect or the accused of the alleged offence is deemed innocent unless his or her innocence is proved by virtue of the effective court verdict in the manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia.
