The RA Special Investigation Service informs that the preliminary investigation has stated that on night of 1 to 2 April, Razmik Karapetyan, the inspector of investigation department of Qanaqer-Zeytun Police Department with prior agreement with Gor Atabekyan, citizen of Yerevan, had stolen a significant amount of spare parts from the vehicle “INFINITI QX”, which was parked in one of the yards of Z. Sarkavagi street.
In the period of April and May 2014, Razmik Karapetyan and Gor Atabekyan in the same way committed 6 thefts in different administrative regions of Yerevan city and in Charentsavan city and stole a significant amount of property.
Razmik Karapetyan is charged in accordance to the Article 177 Part 2 (1) “Theft by a group with prior agreement.” The criminal case was handed over to the prosecutor supervising the preliminary investigation of the criminal case to approve it and to send to the court.
Note: The suspect or the accused of the alleged offence is deemed innocent unless his or her innocence is proved by virtue of the effective court verdict in the manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia.
