The RA Prime Minister discussed the Situation after the Introduction of Compulsory Accumulative System with the Representatives of IT Companies

Today, the newly appointed Prime Minister of the RA Hovik Abrahamyan received the members of the Council of the Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE).

According to the website of the Government, the Prime Minister greeted the representatives of the IT sphere and thanked for accepting his invitation. He added that the cooperation with the IT sphere will be continued and developed further. The Prime Minister believes that it is rather important for the country, economy and public. He mentioned that it was his second day at the office, however he attached importance to the future of the sphere and its cooperation with the government and intended to make the meetings and discussions more active, as well as to here the concerns and recommendations that the IT representatives present. He noted that his approach will be constructive and the cooperation and agreements with this, as well as with other spheres will be based on the word and responsibility. The Prime Minister anticipated active participation and recommendations of the IT sphere.

Further, Vache Gabrielyan, Acting Head of Staff of the RA Government briefly introduced the cooperation between the Government and the IT Sphere up to day, as well as the implemented projects, and mentioned that the development of the IT sphere was one of the priorities of the Government, For this purposes a number of programs were implemented and a Support Group for the Development of IT at the Prime Minister of the RA had been established. Meetings and discussions in different format have become traditional. Specifically the latest result of such cooperation was the Draft for Providing Licenses to the Newly Formed Enterprises in IT Sphere, which was sent to the NA with a purpose to create special conditions for the promotion of technological entrepreneurship.

Representatives of IT sphere congratulated Hovik Abrahamyan for appointment in the post of the RA Prime Minister and referred to the existing problem in the IT sphere and the prospects for its development. Specifically among other problems they discussed the existing situation which occurred as a result of introduction of compulsory accumulative pension system and attached importance to the development and continuation of discussions in the dialogue format. The prime Minister attached importance to training of the new  specialist for the sphere considering it as a key condition for its further development.

The participants referred to the development of the IT sphere in the RA marzes as well.

At the end of the meeting the parties reached an agreement to continue to make such meetings, and cooperation and to achieve the desired results through dialogue.
