Based on the Resolution of 17 April, 2018 of the National Assembly, President Armen Sargsyan signed a decree on appointing Serzh Sargsyan to the post of Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia. The first meeting of the country’s President and newly elected Prime Minister took place today at the presidential residence.

Congratulating Serzh Sargsyan, the President of Armenia said: “Taking into account the path you have passed, your great organizational experience and skills, human qualities, I am confident that in this responsible position your full potential will serve to the development of our homeland and the welfare of the people.” The President wished the Prime Minister success and productive work.
