We expect the EU Support to the Authorities for the Implementation of the Tools of Transitional Justice: Movses Aristakesyan
“There are obstacles to the realization of the values of Velvet Revolution.” Mr. Movses Aristakesyan, President of the “Center for Economic Rights” NGO, Member of the Governing Board of the CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia, Head of the Transitional Justice Committee, said in his speech at the hearings on the “Process of implementation of the Comprehensive and Extended Partnership Agreement between the EU and Armenia”, which was held today, on 26 February at the National Assembly.
“The tools of Transitional Justice tools should be implemented in Armenia, for which we expect EU Support to our Authorities,” he said.
The hearings have been organized by the NA Standing Committee on European Integration. The procedural and substantive aspects of the implementation of the Armenia-EU Agreement, bilateral programs being implemented and outlined within the Agreement, the formats and strategies for cooperation with the civil society in this process, as well as parliamentary oversight over the implementation of the Agreement are discussed.
