Ferdinand Karapetyan, European Judo champion who recently defeated the Azerbaijani athlete in the final, presented his gold medal to National Assembly MP Nikol Pashinyan at the Republican Square on May 2.

However, Nikol Pashinyan returned the medal, noting that the medal should be on the neck of the champion. He also declared: “Now, on behalf of the people, I declare Ferdinand Karapetyan the European Judo Champion and I want to give him my “Medal of Honor” – the medal of “My Step””.
