The institution of mediation has been implemented in Armenia for 10 years, but until now it has not been actively used due to several objective and subjective reasons.

According to new regulations presented by the Ministry of Justice, consulting a mediator will become mandatory before going to court in cases of divorce, alimony, child custody, and other disputes.
