The Second Phase of the Whistleblowing Campaign is Set to Launch Soon

In the framework of the Anti-Corruption Policy Council’s activities, the performance and implementation effectiveness of various anti-corruption institutions are being discussed. Liana Tovmasyan, Advisor to the Minister of Justice, shared this information in a conversation with us. The whistleblowing system is among the focal points of these discussions.

As part of a nationwide campaign, educational events have been conducted across all regions of Armenia, involving community service employees and other representatives.

The progress is evident. While only 4 whistleblowing cases were recorded in June 2023, this June has already seen 25 reports. The second phase of the whistleblowing campaign is about to commence.

The program has been implemented through the joint efforts of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association NGO and the Ministry of Justice, with financial support from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the European Union (EU). It falls under the Eastern Partnership Regional Fund for Public Administration Reform program’s Governance Progress Facility measure, which is implemented by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).
