Are the citizens satisfied with the decision of the Constitutional Court? What are their expectations from the newly elected NA? Survey
On 17 July, the Constitutional Court issued the decision on the case on the dispute related to the decision No. 184-A of the CEC “On Summarizing the Results of the 20 June, 2021 Extraordinary Elections to the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.”, which left the election results unchanged.
The results of the elections were disputed by the “Armenia”, “I have Honor”, “Awakening” and “Armenians’ Homeland” parties were disputing the election results. Their applications were considered in a single joint case.
Judge of the Constitutional Court Edgar Shatiryan was appointed rapporteur on the case. The respondent was the CEC as the body that recorded the election results. Adjacent respondents were the RA Prosecutor’s Office, the Police and the Television and Radio Commission.

For example, according to one of the citizens, the decision of the Constitutional Court was right to move forward. Another citizen said that they made a wrong decision because the country is in a recession.
