The ombudsman’s office provides legal assistance to victims of hostilities, including family members of missing or captured servicemen.

According to Armine Fanyan, Deputy Head of the Public Defender’s Office, the courts should first consider the applications of the relatives of the missing servicemen and citizens, as most of those families are in an extremely difficult and destitute social situation.
