On the night of 8 April, 2018, a mulberry tree in the yard of 7 Nalbandyan street  fell on a “Mercedes” car, causing serious damages to the vehicle. On the same morning, the employees of “Kentron-Kanachapatum” (center landscaping) cut down the broken tree. As the care of the tree is under the responsibility of the municipality, the owner of the car, Vahe Kocharyan, submitted an application to the mayor of Yerevan to compensate the damage. The head of the nature protection department of the Yerevan municipality staff also submitted a note that the fallen tree was viable, but the tree trunk had internal decay, which was not visible. The Mayor had rejected the citizen’s application by the 3 July decision.
